A certificate of fitness (CoF) is a regular check to ensure that your vehicle meets required safety standards. Vehicles requiring this certification are:
heavy vehicles – trucks, larger trailers, motor homes all passenger service vehicles – taxis, shuttles and buses rental vehicles.
UNFIRE PRESSURE VESSEL(UPV):
An unfired pressure vessel is any type of pressure vessel that is not fired. This means that they are not exposed to combustion or burner fire. Since it is an unfired vessel, there is a lesser risk of overheating.
An air compressor is a machine that is capable of converting electrical power into kinetic energy, specifically by utilizing compressed air.
A hoist is a device used for lifting or lowering a load by means of a drum or lift-wheel around which rope or chain wraps. It may be manually operated, electrically or pneumatically driven and may use chain, fiber or wire rope as its lifting medium. The load is attached to the hoist by means of a lifting hook.

FACTORIES AND MACHINERY ACT 1967, FACTORIES AND MACHINERY (EXEMPTION OF CERTIFICATE OF FITNESS FOR HOISTING MACHINE) ORDER 2015
- This order may be cited as the Factories and Machinery (Exemption of Certificate of Fitness for Hoisting Machine) Order 2015.
- All hoisting machines specified in the Schedule are exempted from the certificate of fitness required under subsection 19(1) of the Act and regulation 10 of the Factories and Machinery (Notification, Certificate of Fitness and Inspection) Regulations 1970 [P.U. (A) 43/1970].
